Wisconsin crop conditions decline with lack of moisture

The health of Wisconsin’s crops continues to decline because of the lack of rainfall.  Most of the state saw less than an inch of rain last week.

USDA statistician Greg Bussler says the corn condition dropped 8%, soybeans down 7%, and oats down 3% from a week ago.

Ninety-eight percent of Wisconsin’s corn has emerged, and that’s 8 days ahead of average, but only 42% of the crop is rated good to excellent.
