Soybeans were higher on fund and technical buying. Parts of the Midwest have had recent rainfall with more on the way, but it missed some of drier growing areas. The USDA says 55% of U.S. soybeans are in good to excellent shape, 4% higher, with 56% blooming and 20% at the pod setting stage, both just ahead of the respective five-year averages. Longer-term outlooks for large swaths of the region generally look dry into early August, the critical month for soybeans.
