Another week of widespread rainfall across Nebraska has helped recharge soil profiles and some crop conditions.
Northeast Nebraska farmer Anne Meis tells Brownfield corn and soybeans are exceeding expectations. “The beans are starting to fill out and get some good foliage on and they’re looking good.”
The USDA says corn condition is rated 63 percent good-to-excellent and soybeans are in 54 percent good-to-excellent shape.
Twelve percent of winter wheat has been harvested with 34 percent rated good-to-excellent.
