The potato harvest has begun for some Wisconsin growers. Donald Maum is the Sustainability Manager for Alsom Farms and Produce. He tells Brownfield the potato crop is looking good so far. “It’s been a dry year, but we’re 100% irrigated here on the farm, so we’ve been keeping them running and it’s been paying off, so compared to last year, I think we were fairly average last year and this year, they’re sizing up pretty good.”
Maum says they started harvesting yellow potatoes late last week.
