Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for the likelihood of near- or below-normal temperatures and near- or above-normal precipitation across much of the country. Warmer-than-normal weather will be confined to parts of the northern and southern U.S., including areas stretching from the Pacific Northwest to Lake Superior and from central and southern Texas to Florida.
Meanwhile, drier-than-normal conditions should be limited to western Washington, the upper Midwest, and the nation’s southern tier from southeastern Arizona to parts of Florida.
Near-seasonal temperatures, some rainfall ahead for most of the Heartland
