Recent rain has improved some Kentucky corn and soybean yield expectations.
Corn is rated 55% good to excellent with 59% silking, 28% milked, and 11% in the dough stage. Soybeans are rated 59% good to excellent with 42% blooming, and 20% setting pods.
Winter wheat harvest is nearly complete.
The tobacco set is rated 65% good to excellent with 18% blooming. Pasture conditions have improved slightly to 66% good to excellent. Hay yields continue to vary widely as cutting continues. Grazing grounds are thin.
