Crops could use some moisture as crop conditions decline in Nebraska

Crops across Nebraska could use some relief from on-going drought.

USDA says corn condition is rated 59 percent good-to-excellent with 97 percent emerged. 

Soybeans are 50 percent good-to-excellent with 89 percent of the crop emerged.

Winter wheat is rated 39 percent good-to-excellent.

Pasture and range conditions are rated 35 percent poor-to-very poor.

Topsoil moisture is 39 percent adequate to surplus and subsoil moisture is 29 percent adequate and zero percent surplus.
