Another warm week in Minnesota is pushing corn development but dryness is taking a toll.

USDA’s latest weekly crop report says corn has begun silking, which is about two weeks faster than normal.

The heat and dryness is hurting the crop, with condition ratings falling ten percentage points on the week to 57 percent good to excellent.

Soybeans in the good to excellent category fell from 67 percent a week ago to 63 percent as of Sunday.
