A central Illinois farmer says his crops have received much-needed relief from ongoing drought.
Rob Shaffer says the last 30 days have been critical. “I would have told you on June 20th that we were 2012 all over again,” he said. “That was the worst drought I’ve experienced in my 30-year career and it looked like we were setting up for that. But then on the 29th of June and for the next four days we got three and a half inches of rain.”
He tells Brownfield the dry summer has had an impact on his crops.
